Bio
Denise Bustamante, a certified music teacher and experienced performer, started playing piano at an early age under the tutelage of her father, Mario Bustamante, who was himself an accomplished pianist. Denise has taught over 500 students in Northern California, and maintains a solid reputation for being a dedicated musician and devoted mentor.
To date, Denise has performed at dinner concerts, orchestral performances, recitals, and chamber music performances as a pianist and soloist. She has dedicated her life to sharing the gift of music, with a goal to raise music appreciation through her teaching. She encourages and educates her students to help them excel and achieve their musical goals.
Method
Denise's curriculum includes repertoire, ear-training, sight-playing technique, theory, improvisation, performance practices, and composition. Her lessons are tailored to the individual student's learning pace. Denise also works with each student to select appropriate core instructional materials. Supplementary materials are used as needed to help students develop fully as pianists and musicians. The six days between lessons are integral to a student's progress, so a portion of each lesson is also devoted to teaching the student how to practice.
