Bio
Ned Hammad is a guitar player and music professional with 20 years of experience. He’s performed as a member of two signed rock bands—’58 Fury and Sweetvine—as well as a number of well-received regional acts, such as Soul Motor, Mothra and Sex 66.
Ned received a B.A. in English from UC Davis in 1990, which led to a position as an editor with Tower Records' Pulse! magazine, a "musically omnivorous" consumer guide with national distribution. During his 12 years at Pulse!, Ned wrote scores of music features and reviews; and ultimately oversaw a sister publication--the periodical music guide, Tower Essentials. During this time, he continued to write, perform and record on the local-music scene, earning a handful of Sammies nominations and spearheading the production of a nationally distributed independent record, H.A.G.’s Songs From the Pus Cavern.
Over the past year, Ned has become involved with the arts-education programs Matrix Arts and Very Special Arts, which see him doing various musical activities with students ranging from preschoolers to eighth graders. He has also participated as a band coach in Skip's Music's Stairway to Stardom program. Ned is currently enrolled at UOP, studying to obtain certification to practice music therapy. He has a natural enthusiasm for people who want to learn and an undying passion for music.

Method
Ned tailors his lessons to his individual students, while building an understanding of theory that helps students keep learning away from
lessons. He also encourages musical personality.
