Bio
Thomas Murphy has been a professional musician for 20 years. He has been teaching guitar for 15 years. Thomas started teaching at Skip's Music in Sacramento, and eventually moved to Los Angeles to teach and further his music career. In LA, Thomas maintained a clientele of more than 70 students, including Tito Jackson (The Jackson 5) and the children of Eddie Money, Greg Bissonette (David Lee Roth), and Wayne Gretzky.

Thomas has studied with Tommy Armstrong-Leavitt, Greg Williams, Ross Bolton (Al Jarreau), and Ted Greene. At age 20 Thomas attended and eventually graduated from Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA. There, he learned from greats such as Robben Ford, Paul Gilbert, Keith Wyatt, Jennifer Batten, Alen Hinds and many more.

While in LA, Thomas performed in a funk/soul cover band called Soul Tribe, and in a classic rock cover band called Eighty Below. Thomas is currently recording his solo CD with Greg Bissonette (Ringo Starr), Matt Bissonette (Rick Springfield, Joe Satriani), Roger Smith (Tower of Power) and Ross Bolton (Al Jarreau).

Method
Thomas' guitar students have ranged in age from 6 to 62 years old. The lessons are tailored to the individual, to help the student achieve maximum potential as a musician.
