Bio
Eli Lester was born and raised in Modesto, Ca. and has been playing professionally since he was 13. Both of Eli’s parents are musicians and Eli spent his early years gigging in a bluegrass band with his dad. Eli has been teaching since 1999 and has been teaching at Skips Music since 2002. Eli has won 4 MAMA (Modesto area music awards) awards and has recorded an album with Sony’s Work group. Eli has toured extensively throughout the US and UK and has shared the stage with Robben Ford, Tommy Castro, Huey Lewis and the News, Robert Cray & Chris Cain.

Method
In Eli's approach to teaching, the most important thing is to have fun. At the same time he teaches a complete understanding of the guitar. Chord construction, scales, technique, ear training and theory. As well as being able to sight-read, guitar tabs and standard notation is very important. The key is to have fun and make music that you enjoy.
